Injury & Liability Waiver

I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions related to my participation in Pickleball (the "Activities") on the premises of the Sproat Lake Community Association (the "SLCA").

I am aware that the Activities involve certain risks and dangers inherent to them. I hereby release the SLCA, its directors, officers, administrators, employees, volunteers and their personal representatives from any and all causes of action, claims and demands for damages, loss or injury, which may be sustained by me arising out of or in consequence of my participation in the Activities and I assume all risks in connection thereto.

I acknowledge that the SLCA does not carry any insurance coverage with respect to my participation in the Activities.

I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the SLCA, its directors, officers, administrators, employees, volunteers and their personal representatives from any and all claims or demands which may be made against them arising out of or in consequence of my participation in the Activities.

Waiver Acknowledgement *

By submitting this document I acknowledge that I have read, fully understood and accept all terms and conditions listed above and freely and knowingly assume the risk and waive my rights concerning liability as set out above.

Hall Access Rules & Hall Access Commitment

HALL ACCESS RULES:

Authorized Access Only: Key and Code access to the community hall is restricted to Registered SLCA members only. The codes are confidential and are not to be shared with anyone. Access code will be changed annually or as determined by the SLCA Board.
Restricted Access Hours: The community hall is accessible from 8 am to 9 pm. The alarm system is armed outside of these hours, and it is prohibited to enter or be in the hall during this time.
Hall Lights: When using the outside courts only, the lights inside the hall should remain off at all times.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: Members using the hall are responsible for maintaining cleanliness. Any damages or maintenance issues should be reported promptly to the SLCA.
Security Measures: Please ensure front door is locked while playing on outdoor courts; close and secure all doors before leaving.
Emergency Procedures: In case of emergencies, such as fire or medical incidents, the established emergency procedures posted within the community hall should be followed. Please familiarize yourself with the location of the AED.
Supervision of Minors: Children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult when in the community hall. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children's behavior and adherence to hall rules.
Lost or Stolen Items: The SLCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Members are encouraged to keep belongings secure.

HALL ACCESS COMMITMENT:

I understand that access to the community hall, including the lock box code and downstairs washroom access code, is a privilege granted only for pickleball activities during designated hours. I agree:

Hall Access Rules: I will abide by the hall access rules as set out above.
Code Of Confidentiality: I will not share the lockbox code or washroom access code with anyone.
Cease to be a Member: I will notify the SLCA immediately if I cease to be a resident or property owner in the Sproat Lake Community and cease to access the hall.
Revocation Consequences: If I violate this agreement, all privileges to access the community hall and pickleball facilities will be immediately revoked.
