Please only use this form to renew your package from the last outdoor season.  

By providing the above information, you consent to Sproat Lake Community Association communicating with you regarding pickleball-related updates.

1) All players are registered and have signed a waiver; or for a minor, a parent has signed an indemnity.
2) All players are listed in the calendar (ability to add a player confirms #1 above).
3) All Pay When You Play fees are paid at the time of play and full names and date on the payment envelope for cash; or in the payment book for prepaid tickets.
4) The reservation will be cancelled promptly if unable to use the court during the booked time.
5) The member who reserves a court must be present during the reservation time.
6)The member cannot reserve a court on behalf of another player or group.

SPROAT LAKE COMMUNITY PICKLEBALL RULES 1. Definitions: “SLCA Member”: anyone who owns property or is a full-time resident in the Sproat Lake Community. Registration as an SLCA Member requires proof of residency or ownership (utilities bill, drivers license, property tax assessment). “Non-SLCA Member”: anyone who does not reside full-time or own property in the Sproat Lake community including anyone staying temporarily, or a house guest with a Sproat Lake community member. GENERAL COURT, RESERVATION AND CALENDAR RULES 2. Access to the Courts: Only registered players may use the courts; Registration is available for SLCA Members and Non-SLCA Members. 3. Waivers: All registered players must have a signed waiver on file; Minor children under the age of 19 must have an indemnity agreement signed by parent(s) or legal guardian. 4. Open Play: Refer to SLCA Pickle Planner page for Open Play programming information Programming and schedules are subject to adjustment based on participation. Courts or duration may be added or decreased based on sign-up numbers and utilization. If a women’s or men’s open play has 2 or fewer sign ups as of 6 pm the evening before, the session will be opened up for mixed play. 5. Payment of Drop-In Fees: Drop-in fees payable in full at the time of play. Place payments in the fee box: Indoor play: fee box located inside the front entrance of the hall; Outdoor play: fee box located inside the downstairs door, near the bathroom. Record amount paid, full name, and date in the record book. Instead of cash, pre-paid tickets can be purchased from the Hall Manager. 6. Minor Children 15 years of age or younger: play free and must be accompanied by an adult Registered player. 7. Hardship Waiver: SLCA Members who are experiencing financial circumstances that limit ability to pay for themselves or a child residing full time with them, can contact the Pickleball Committee confidentially for a fee reduction or waiver. 8. No Lessons: No paid lessons are permitted on the courts without express approval from the SLCA. Court rental is available. 9. Protecting the Playing Surface: non-marking court shoes only; no wheeled devices or roller blades to avoid damaging the surface. 10. No Food or Beverages on the Court: To keep the court clean and safe, food and drinks should be consumed off the court. 11. Safety First: Be mindful of safety on and around the court and report any hazardous conditions. 12. Courteous Behavior: Maintain respectful and appropriate conduct on and off the court; adhere to SLCA Code of Conduct. 13. No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on or around the court to maintain a healthy and clean environment. 14. Upon Leaving the Courts: Ensure all refuse is discarded or removed, gates are closed, and hall is locked. 15. Access Road Behind the Hall: No Parking. This area reserved for emergency vehicles, handicap access, and as a loading zone. 16. Reservation Time Limits: Each court reservation is limited to a maximum of two (2) hours per session. 17. Court Reservation Limits: There is a 1-court reservation limit per day on the number of courts that can be reserved by one individual. A member cannot reserve a court on behalf of another player; and must be present during their reserved time. 18. Reservation Responsibilities: A member who reserves a court is responsible for ensuring all players are registered and waivers signed; all players are added to the calendar; and all Pay when you Play fees are paid with full names written in the payment record. 19. Large Groups and Events: Rental is required. Email getinvolved@spoatlakecommunityassociation.com for details. 20. Cancellation: Members are required to cancel reservations promptly if they are unable to use the court during their booked time and remove their signup on an open play reservation if they are unable to make it to the event that they have signed up for. 21. Rights Reserved: In cases of unforeseen circumstances, contravention of rules, or last-minute rental requests, the SLCA Board of Directors reserves the right to adjust or cancel court reservations. Members will be notified of these changes as soon as possible. HALL ACCESS FOR PICKLEBALL 22. Hall Use: Please familiarize yourself with the Hall-Use Rules 23. Authorized Access Only: Access codes will be provided at the time of annual registration. All Registered members will receive a code to the downstairs bathroom; Only Adult SLCA members are eligible to receive a code for the upstairs hall. Codes must not be shared. Codes are changed annually or as determined by the SLCA Board. 24. Restrooms: A restroom is available downstairs and accessible through the lower level door. Upstairs restrooms are for use during indoor play ONLY. 25. Restricted Access Hours: The community hall is accessible from 7 am to 9 pm. The alarm system is armed outside of these hours. 26. Security Measures: Please ensure front door is locked while playing on outdoor courts; close and secure all doors and windows before leaving. 27. Emergency Procedures: In case of emergencies, such as fire or medical incidents, the established emergency procedures posted within the community hall should be followed. Please familiarize yourself with the location of the AED machines. 28. Care of our Hall: Your help in caring for our hall and reducing operating costs is appreciated. When using the outside courts only, the lights inside the hall should remain off. Players using the hall are responsible for maintaining cleanliness. Any damages or maintenance issues should be reported promptly to the Hall Manager. OUTDOOR SEASONAL PLAY 29. Outdoor Seasonal Play: April 1 – September 30. Play outside these dates, weather permitting, is drop in only and not reservable. 30. Fees and Programming: Refer to SLCA Pickleball web page for programming and fee information. Seasonal Package rates and Pay When you Play options available. Fees are non-refundable. Registered players may convert from “Pay When You Play” to a seasonal “Package” at any time, however Package fees are not prorated and Drop-In fees paid prior to such a change are non-refundable. 31. Reservations and Sign -Up for Open Play: Available through Pickle Planner 32. Reservation Eligibility: Outdoor courts (courts 2-5) can be reserved by registered players who have purchased a seasonal package. “Pay When you Play” players cannot reserve. 33. Advance Booking: SLCA Members may reserve 10 days in advance; Non-SLCA Members may reserve outdoor courts 5 day in advance. 34. Court 1: This court is drop in only for multi-sports. If others wish to use the court, the court is to be vacated within 30 minutes. INDOOR PLAY: 35. Indoor Play (subject to Hall availability): This court is separate and distinct from the outdoor courts and is always subject to a Drop-In Fee for ALL players; SLCA Member - $3.00; Non SLCA Member (including house guest) - $5.00 36. Advance Booking: Indoor play is bookable by Adult SLCA Members only; minors and Non-SLCA Members are welcome to play with adult SLCA Members. Adult SLCA Members may reserve 10 days in advance. 37. Indoor Seasonal Play October 1 to March 31: Open Play sign up and reservations available through Pickle Planner. 38. Inclement Weather April 1 – September 30: During rainy weather play may move to the indoor court. Play moved indoors is subject to a drop-in fee for all players. Open Play is given top priority to move indoors. In the event of two concurrent reservations for outdoor play, the indoor court is available on a first come/first served basis through the calendar.

Sproat Lake Community Association Code of Conduct The Sproat Lake Community Association (SLCA) and its volunteers are committed to the goal of creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all community members and everyone who participates in our activities. This Code of Conduct outlines the ways we work together and the expectations we have of one another in enabling such an environment. This Code applies to SLCA Members and any other “participants”, attending or participating in a SLCA event or activity, including meetings, recreational activities, rental events, and other public events, as well as communication, written or verbal. An SLCA Member or participant: 1. Acts Respectfully Of Others a. Uses respectful language and tone of voice when communicating with others. b. Avoids words and actions that could be considered hurtful, discriminatory, or make other members of the community feel unwelcome. c. Recognizes that all comments, viewpoints, and contributions consistent with this Code are equally welcome 2. Avoids Aggressive Or Abusive Behavior Of Any Kind a. Is calm and considerate, particularly in discussion of matters they are passionate about, carefully avoiding raising their voice or interrupting others b. Avoids communication, verbal or written, that is belittling, mocking, or demeaning c. Does not engage in conduct that could be considered bullying or harassing others 3. Respects Confidentiality Requirements For Confidential Information a. Does not discuss or otherwise disclose information that is communicated in confidence or that is confidential in nature. b. Only discloses confidential information to those with the right to receive the information and who have a need to know the information, or in accordance with the law. This includes disclosing personal contact information only when authorized by the individual(s) involved. 4. Recognizes That The SLCA Is A Volunteer-Run Organization a. Is respectful of the personal time SLCA Board members and other volunteers contribute to the governance of the SLCA, the operation of the SLCA facilities and making other community events and initiatives possible b. Respects the decisions and direction of volunteers leading or managing activities c. Respects the decisions, policies, rules, and processes, including this Code, put in place by the SLCA Board of Directors; recognizing that there are established processes to communicate and/or present to the Board of Directors regarding concerns or other matters of importance. Violations of this Code may result in warnings, restrictions from participating in SLCA activities, expulsion as a member, or other measures as deemed appropriate by the SLCA Board of Directors. The SLCA Board of Directors shall be the final authority on this Code and its enforcement. Bullying, harassment, or any violent act will be treated as a serious breach of the Code and immediate responsive measures will be taken. We all have a part in creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment at SLCA events and activities. Access code will be changed annually or as determined by the SLCA Board. 2. Restricted Access Hours: The community hall is accessible from 8 am to 9 pm. The alarm system is armed outside of these hours, and it is prohibited to enter or be in the hall during this time. 3. Hall Lights: When using the outside courts only, the lights inside the hall should remain off at all times. 4. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Members using the hall are responsible for maintaining cleanliness. Any damages or maintenance issues should be reported promptly to the SLCA. 5. Security Measures: Please ensure front door is locked while playing on outdoor courts; close and secure all doors before leaving. 6. Emergency Procedures: In case of emergencies, such as fire or medical incidents, the established emergency procedures posted within the community hall should be followed. Please familiarize yourself with the locations of the AED machine. 7. Supervision of Minors: Children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult when in the community hall. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children's behavior and adherence to hall rules. 8. Lost or Stolen Items: The SLCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Members are encouraged to keep belongings secure.
