I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks associated with my participation. Medical Condition: I certify that I am in good health and fit to play pickleball, without any known medical conditions that could increase my risk of injury. Release of Liability: In consideration of participation, I release Sproat Lake Community Association and its representatives from any claims for personal injury or property damage arising from my participation. Emergency Medical Treatment: In a medical emergency, I authorize Sproat Lake Community Association or its representatives to seek medical treatment on my behalf. Waiver Acknowledgement *By signing this document I acknowledge that I have read and fully understood all terms and conditions listed above and freely and knowingly assume the risk and waive my rights concerning liability as set out above.Signature * Clear Signature PreviousNextCourt, Hall Access and Reservation Calendar Rules Definitions: “Community Member” or “Member”: anyone who resides or owns property in the Sproat Lake Community.“Visitor”: anyone who does not reside or own property in the Sproat Lake community and is not a house guest of a Sproat Lake Community member. “House Guest”: anyone who is staying with a Sproat Lake community member for 2 weeks or less. Rules are Subject to Change: These rules are subject to change, at the discretion of the SLCA Board of Directors. Adherence to rules: Failure to adhere to these rules or attempts to circumvent the rules may result in suspension or revocation of some or all privileges. COURT RULES Access to the Courts: Only registered players may access the courts unless they are house guests of a community member. Fee For Use of Indoor Court: There is a $3.00 fee per person, per session. Please place the payment in the cash box near the kitchen and record your name, date, and payment in the record book. Please pay before you play. Visitor Policy: Registered members may invite registered visitors to play on the courts. Members are responsible for their visitors' behavior and adherence to all rules. A $5.00 fee per visitor applies and it is the member's responsibility to ensure that payment is deposited to the cash box by the hall kitchen and recorded in the record book, before commencement of play. When adding a registered visitor to a reservation please use both first and last name on the “Visitors Playing:” line of the reservation. House Guest Policy: Registered members may invite their house guests to play on the courts. When adding a house guest to a reservation please record their name on the “Visitors Playing” line of the reservation and indicate beside their name that they are a house guest. A 3.00 fee is applicable for indoor court use. No Lessons: No paid lessons are permitted on the courts, without express approval from the SLCA. Court rental is available. Proper Footwear: Players should wear non-marking court shoes to prevent damage to the surface and maintain safety. No Food or Beverages on the Court: To keep the court clean and safe, food and drinks should be consumed off the court. Safety First: Be mindful of safety on and around the court and report any hazardous conditions. Courteous Behavior: Maintain respectful and appropriate conduct on and off the court. No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on or around the court to maintain a healthy and clean environment. Use Restrooms: Restrooms are available inside the hall; please use them when needed, adhering to hall-use rules. Upon Leaving the Courts– Ensure that all refuse is discarded or removed, and the gate is closed. HALL ACCESS RULES Authorized Access Only: Key and Code access to the community hall is restricted to registered Sproat Lake community members only. The codes are confidential and should not be shared with anyone. Restricted Access Hours: The community hall is accessible from 7 am to 9 pm. The alarm system is armed outside of these hours, and it is prohibited to enter or be in the hall during this time. Hall Lights: When using the outside courts only, the lights inside the hall should remain off at all times. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Members using the hall are responsible for maintaining cleanliness. Any damages or maintenance issues should be reported promptly to the SLCA. Security Measures: Please ensure the front door is locked when playing on the outdoor courts, and close and secure all doors before leaving. Emergency Procedures: In case of emergencies, such as fire or medical incidents, the established emergency procedures posted within the community hall should be followed. Supervision of Minors: Children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult when in the community hall. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children's behavior and adherence to hall rules. Lost or Stolen Items: The community association is not responsible for lost or stolen items within the community hall. Members are encouraged to keep personal belongings secure. COURT RESERVATION CALENDAR RULES Reservation Eligibility: Court reservations are permitted by registered community members only. Calendar links are not for sharing. Full Names Required: The use of First and Last names is required on all reservations, and by all players. Reservation Time Limits: Each court reservation is limited to a maximum of two (2) hours per session. Court Reservation Limits: There is a 1-court reservation limit on the number of courts that can be reserved concurrently by one individual. Exception: A 2-court reservation limit will apply if all players on the reservation are members of the same family. Rental rules and rates apply for large groups and events. Please email getinvolved@spoatlakecommunityassociation.com for details. Advance Booking Window: Members may book courts up to 14 days in advance. Cancellation: Members are required to cancel reservations promptly if they are unable to use the court during their booked time and remove their signup on an open play reservation if they are unable to make it to the event that they have signed up for. Fair Usage Guidelines: Members are encouraged to use the court reservation system fairly. Excessive reservations, attempts to manipulate the system or circumvent the rules, or removal/modification of someone else's reservation will not be tolerated and may result in a suspension of reservation and other privileges. Rights Reserved: In cases of unforeseen circumstances, contravention of rules, or last-minute rental requests, the SLCA Board of Directors reserves the right to adjust or cancel court reservations.
