Join us for an important community meeting to discuss the invasive Carp/Koi problem affecting Sproat Lake. This event, organized by the SLCA Stewardship Committee, aims to inform residents about the impacts of invasive Carp/Koi on our lake’s ecosystem and learn about what is being done to address the issue.

We are pleased to have Fisheries Biologist Brendan Anderson from the Ministry of Water, Land, and Resource Stewardship as our guest speaker. With extensive experience in investigating and mitigating aquatic invasive species, Brendan will provide valuable insights into the current situation and will share the latest findings from ongoing investigations into the Carp/Koi population in our lake.

This meeting is a crucial opportunity for all community members to gain a deeper understanding of the invasive Koi issue and will have the chance to ask questions, share concerns, and collaborate on solutions during the Q&A session following the presentation.
