Hi Alberni Valley Resident,
I am Heather Zenner. I work for the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD), and I am currently taking the Master of Arts in Leadership degree at Royal Roads University.
As part of the program, I have partnered with the ACRD to conduct a research project survey based around “How can the ACRD better engage the community in the process of emergency planning and preparedness in the Alberni Valley”.
Part of my research is conducting a survey with as many Alberni Valley residents as possible to determine communication and engagement preferences; level of knowledge regarding the emergency program; perceptions of emergencies; and barriers that prevent residents from preparing for emergencies.
I am inviting you to participate in this research project survey and to provide your input by clicking on the following link:

The survey should take less than ten minutes. This survey is completely optional and all responses are anonymous, so I won’t know if you have completed the survey or not. The survey data will be used to guide the rest of my research project. Once my project is complete, I will make recommendations to the ACRD for their consideration.
This research project survey is being advertised around the community and paper copies of the survey are available for pick-up and drop-off at the ACRD front desk and at the Echo Centre reception desk.
Thank you,
Heather Zenner, RPF
