Beach Cleanup 2017
Annual “Clean Beaches, Clean Water” Sproat Lake Beach Cleanup 2017, see newsletter.
Sproat Lake will clean up along Stirling Arm, Two Rivers Arm and Taylor Arm on crown land shores.
It’s important to remember your rubber boots; work gloves; shovels or rakes; work clothes, and shoes.
SLCA will provide garbage bags; maps; water and lunch.
Meet up is at 9 am. at Sproat Lake Provincial park, or Pete’s. After cleanup we will meet the pile driver in Two Rivers Arm where Penny will provide a BBQ lunch onboard the houseboat (attached to pile driver).
After lunch volunteers are invited to stay aboard the pile driver on a very slow journey back to shore. Unloading will take place at Pete’s. The junk is then transferred to garbage trucks or trailers. It is then transported to the AV landfill and Recycling Depot.
Please call Penny Cote at 250 724-5040 for more info or to arrange transportation.
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this year another success!
